György Wáberer is set to build an office complex in District XII

With György Wáberer’s majority ownership, the enormous office complex with an underground car park announced last year can finally be developed in one of District XII.’s most valuable inner areas, at the intersection of Alkotás street and Csörsz street – as made clear by the mayor of the district, Zoltán Pokorni (Fidesz-KDNP) in his response to an interpellation. Kata Tüttő, MSZP’s municipal representative requested clarification in the issue.

The municipality has finalised a purchase contract about the lot in Alkotás street, registered under four different lot numbers, with a total area of 3800 m². The transaction had a total value of 374 million HUF, plus VAT. According to the mayor, Zoltán Pokorni’s letter, after a bid negotiation process, Green Urban Elegant Kft. won, owned and managed by György Wáberer and his family’s companies. The adjacent lot was purchased years ago by one of Market Group’s companies pertaining to the interests of major investor István Garancsi, and an office building of several acres has already been planned to be built on the joint portion of the two lots.
