Nordic Light Office Building
Harman International and BASF Hungária Kft. signed a lease agreement for offices to rent at the Budapest’s Nordic Light Office Building, located on Váci Road. Currently the building has pre-leases on 26 % of the total space.

The office complex was designed by Mérték Architectural Studio Ltd., Colliers represented the tenants in the transactions and property and real estate services adviser CBRE has taken exclusive responsibility for leasing Nordic Light, according to a statement.

Currently Nordic Light has preliminary lease contracts for 26% of the total leasable area but there are still available office spaces to rent. Harman International, one of the newest tenants of Nordic Light, signed a lease agreement for approximately 1,000 sqm in the first phase of the building, while BASF Hungária Kft. signed a lease agreement for 2,000 sqm in the second phase of Nordic Light. Last year Schneider Electric and M&C Energia, an international expert of energy management and automatization, signed a lease for 3,650 sqm of office space.

Nordic Light is being implemented in two phases: the first one will be opened in May 2016 and completion is planned in September 2016. The entire complex offers 26,200 sqm of office  area of offices to let and 1,800 sqm of retail space across seven floors with more than 400 parking spaces on 3 underground levels.  The ”A” category building complex has an inside courtyard, green terraces and bicycle storage facilities with changing rooms and showers, as well as energy saving elevators and other green solutions.

The building performed exceptionally well in all sustainability criteria of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design international green building certification system (LEED), and acquired the Gold level pre-certification for core and shell. Nordic Light office building is Skanska’s next LEED pre-certified project in the pipeline.

“Its venue, energy efficient technology systems and outstanding architectural solutions make Nordic Light one of the most attractive office market developments in Budapest and the next remarkable green building in Skanska’s portfolio”, said Zoltán Linczmayer, Managing Director of Skanska Hungary Property Ltd.
