Future Professionals

The Roundtable Association for Real Estate Developers (IFK) organized the series of events for the Day of Real Estate Developments for the 4th time. In 2013 the members of the IFK started the programme with the aim to make a tradition out of it each year. Their purpose is to promote the better understanding of the versatility of the work of real estate developers, informing about success already achieved. ”We’d like to involve students as the professionals of the future in our programs, therefore, we have opened the previous tenders especially for them as well”- explained Dr. Ernő Takács, the president of the IFK.

The team designing the plans of the Budapest Startup Center was awarded by the ”IFK Talent 2016” prize together with an additional financial bonus of 500.000 HUF on the gala dinner. According to the jury and the members of the IFK the winners formed a compact space, where residential, working and recreational places were combined in a contemporary way, in addition, they offered flexible community spaces that can be easily adapted to the needs of innovative teams.

Principals of the tender searched answers for this question:

How can you create innovative offices for firms with high growth potentials by reusing an urban site out of use in the city and integrating environmental conscious solutions?

Among the selection criteria included that the project should be economically acceptable in both realization and operation.

The plans Budapest Startup Center were found outstanding by the representatives of the Roundtable Association for Real Estate Developers from all the best received entrants. The members of the jury agreed that the plans are spectacular, well-constructed presenting working environments absolutely appropriate for start-ups.  The members of the winner team are: Krisztina Benkő (Corvinus University Accounting MA), Bence Gábor Lehotai (Technical University of Budapest, Infrastructure Architect MA), Anett Treszkai (Technical University of Budapest Science in Architecture BA), and Levente Zsombor Gyimesi (Szent István University, Urban Systems Engineering MA). The special award of the IFK was received by a project called Astroffice (the winners were given an amount of 300.000 HUF).

The Day of Real Estate Development

On the occasion of the Day of Real Estate Development the IFK launches a new book series Real Estate Development Anno, which new part Liberty Square was published on that day. The first Day of Real Estate Development was organized on the 20th November 2013, namely this was the day when the Chain Bridge had been angulated. The Chain Bridge is an expressive symbol of the profession, since the real estate developer plays the role of a bridge in a property investment linking each participant.
